Hyphenated Identities Conference – Video & photos
We are happy to share photographs documenting the Hyphenated Identities conference. Please watch a video of the keynote address by Aminatta Forna. (click here)
On December 4 we had a full house and three sessions of inspiring discussions revisiting the notion of hyphenated identities from radically different perspectives. They added texture and complexity to the domain of ethnos, moving beyond: to cultural, economic, and political aspects of multiple (and multiplying) identities.
It is thanks to (intellectual and financial) generosity that the first event of the Hyphenated Identities was such a success. We would like to once again thank all the participants, panel moderators, our partners from Columbia University, and our generous sponsors and supporters: Adam Mickiewicz Institute from Warsaw, East central European Center at Columbia University, New School Students Senate, NSSR Dean’s Office, and Polish Cultural Institute in New York.
We are looking forward to continuing our conversation: in Spring 2016 at Columbia, and in Spring 2017 at Parsons and NSSR.
