TCDS Film Screening: The Making of Thinking of You, Monday 2/29, 6:30-8:30pm
TCDS is proud to announce that we will screen the new documentary ‘The Making of Thinking of You’ by Anna Di Lellio & Fitim Shala.
New School for Public Engagement Professor and journalist Anna Di Lellio will present her new film documenting the June 12, 2015 art installation Thinking of You, by Alketa Xhafa Mripa, which displayed five thousand dresses in the football stadium of Prishtina, Kosovo, to honor thousands of survivors of wartime sexual violence. It is a story of art and women’s activism to change the culture of isolation, resignation and shame surrounding these survivors.
The event will take place Monday, February 29th, 6:30-8:30pm at The New School for Social Research, Wolff Conference Room, Rm 1103, 6 E 16th St. New York, NY.
