How to Survive a Plague- documentary film screening September 7th

This documentary  project is considered by many to be a landmark in the preservation of the history of the AIDS epidemic. By creating a context for in-progress feedback from our students, New School was instrumental in effecting some critical changes that were made in the structure and and content of the film. The result has been an award winning run through the international festival circuit including Sundance and the New Directors series at MOMA and Lincoln Center and theatrical distribution by IFC Films that will begin in NYC on September 21.
In preparation for that official debut, the film’s distributor, has offered a special screening for the New School community.  That screening will be held at Theresa Lang Community and Student Center on Friday, September 7 at 6:30.  David France, the film’s director and producer, as well as activists featured in the film, will hold a Q & A session at the end of the screening.  Please come, bring friends, spread the word, inform and when appropriate, assign your classes to attend this event!
