Unreasonable Institute & Rockefeller Launch Future Cities Accelerator

The Future Cities Accelerator exists to solve the challenges faced by poor or vulnerable populations living in U.S. cities.

In order to do this, Unreasonable Institute is partnering with the Rockefeller Foundation to offer 10 grants of $100,000 to people most capable of solving these challenges and provide them what they need to get the job done at scale. They’re hoping to draw an eclectic mix of innovators, entrepreneurs, and activists and give them what they need to get the job done at scale.

To be eligible, you must have a formal team consisting of at least two people, and commit to measuring and sharing your impact with Unreasonable at least twice a year for five years. Teams are also required to submit a short video to better explain who they are and what they do.

In general, Unreasonable is looking for projects with a clear plan for change, growth, and the potential to reach at least 1 million people.

They’ll conduct a couple rounds of interviews to determine which groups should receive a site visit. Winners will be announced January 4, 2017.

Applications are due by September 25, 2016.
