Melissa Wong
Melissa’s “why” centers around sparking meaningful conversations and designing experiences that inspire connection and new perspectives. She is co-founder of New Women Space, a community event space that invites self-identified women, femme, queer, transgender and gender nonconforming individuals to lead powerful in-person gatherings and start new, timely and critical conversations. NWS has been home to over 200 original events that strengthen relationships between individuals and community groups by honoring the qualities of leadership in everyone and placing the importance on sharing physical space and spending intentional quality time together. Prior to NWS, Melissa worked for disruptive companies like Kickstarter and SoundCloud, where she supported creative communities and managed projects to improve member experiences, and has worked for an array of small hospitality businesses.
