Amy Chase

Amy Chase has eight years of experience managing USG-funded projects, mostly USAID projects in conflict and unstable environments. She has worked in Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kosovo, and Rwanda and is currently the Compliance Officer at World Learning’s office in Washington, DC. She has previously worked for Democracy International, The Kosova Women’s Network, The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Abt Associates, IFES, and The QED Group.

In 2018, Amy launched a social enterprise called The Crescendo Group which supports economic empowerment for women refugees, survivors of armed conflicts, and survivors of gender-based violence. Crescendo currently works with local partners based in Kosovo, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. In 2019, Crescendo is expanding partnerships to Albania, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Jordan. Prior to her career in international development and human rights, she was a project manager in marketing, media, and sales. She has a BBA from Baruch College and an MA in International Affairs from The New School. Amy is a native New Yorker and speaks fluent French and Cantonese.
