Clare Cannon

Creative Writing (MFA), Schools of Public Engagement

Clare Cannon is excited to join the Impact Entrepreneurship Fellowship at The New School this fall. Cannon is pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing, with a double concentration in Nonfiction and Writing for Children. Cannon has a background in Early Childhood education, and is highly inspired by Montessori pedagogy and Reggio-inspired play based learning. Cannon has spent the past five years working at an international school in Kyiv, Ukraine. Cannon enjoys coffee, water colors, and open water swimming.

 

What is the unmet social or environmental need you intend to address?

I would like to create books and educational materials which help support the unique educational needs of “Third Culture Kids.”  

 

What most excites you about participating in the Impact Entrepreneurship Fellowship?

I am so excited to be a part of a dynamic learning community with the Impact Entrepreneurship Fellowship, and am excited to learn and grow alongside my cohort members.

 

What most excites you about Impact Entrepreneurship in general?

Getting to be a part of this amazing cohort, and the opportunity to learn from amazing mentors in The New School.

 

Where do you think you need the most support regarding your venture concept?

I am a beginning entrepreneur, so I will need help making my ideas a reality.
