Impact Entrepreneurship

Tamir Novotny

Tamir Novotny is a social entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector. He is currently building a coaching and consulting practice at the intersections of healing, group dynamics and social justice. Before starting this practice, Tamir ran Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy, a national membership organization working to build leadership for justice among early- and mid- career practitioners in the field. During his tenure, EPIP adopted a new, highly participatory strategic plan explicitly committing the organization to justice, grew its membership by 50 percent and its network of chapters by 33 percent, grew its net assets by 90 percent, and revamped its internal systems. Prior to that, Tamir spent ten years at Living Cities, a corporate and philanthropic collaborative working to improve the lives of low-income city residents. There, he developed and led portfolios in areas including housing, smart growth and civic technology. Tamir has a Masters in Public Administration and a Bachelors in Metropolitan Studies from New York University, and is currently completing his certification in the Coaching for Transformation Program.
