ONLINE: How to Find A Collaborator For Your Impact Venture
Students in our impact entrepreneurship program have the chance to join incubators and accelerators outside of The New School. However, a common requirement for these opportunities is having a co-founder or a dedicated collaborator on board. Finding a collaborator can be a challenge when you are just starting out. Join us for an event hosted by the Impact Entrepreneurship Initiative where we will hear from our current and Alumni Fellows about their experiences finding a co-founder and joining a summer incubator.
Meet with two student teams: The first is a duo from Parsons (Transdisciplinary Design and Design and Technology) developing Ernest Nic, a smart kit that uses biometric data to study menstrual blood, providing a more comprehensive look at a user’s menstrual health, improving reproductive care and screening for potential health conditions. The team will tell us about their experience with their Venture Well grant and customer discovery learning. The second is an M.A Fashion Studies grad who collaborated with a partner at NYU Tandon to develop ĖNDIRĖ (een-deer-ay): a community vision care brand that aims to empower Black individuals with vision health knowledge and access to bold, innovatively designed eyewear. The team will tell us about accessing support from NYU and Parsons over the summer.
