Civic Hall Building a NYC Civic Tech Hub in Union Square

New York City’s Tech Community Is Getting A $250 Million Home Base At Union Square

Civic Hall’s proposal to the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) to build a new location and innovation hub at Union Square has been approved! Working with an accomplished real estate developer, RAL Companies, Civic Hall will be transforming 124 East 14th St (currently the site of PC Richard & Sons) into an expanded home for the civic tech community.

Civic Hall envisions a unique new resource: a place where New Yorkers of ALL backgrounds can come to learn, work, and network together using modern technology and collaborative design to better solve pressing public problems.

They believe that connecting civically-minded technologists and entrepreneurs with New Yorkers seeking digital skills through a new and expanded Civic Hall, including Civic Hall Labs, will vastly expand the benefits of civic and technological innovation to all.
