Avivar Capital, an SEC-registered investment advisor focused on impact investing, is recruiting three Summer Associates to assist with portfolio monitoring and research. They will host Associates in their Los Angeles office beginning May 21, 2018. They are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Align with Avivar Capital’s mission and values that seek to leverage the capital markets to build inclusive, sustainable communities and economic sectors
- Currently working on or have completed an MBA or master’s degree in a related field (business, law, economics, international development, etc.)
- Minimum 1-3 years of work experience, preferably in finance, accounting, consulting, law, or a related field
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects independently as well as complete assignments timely and accurately
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little oversight
- Team player with positive attitude and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
