Leslie Caldwell is a Brooklyn born and based novelist and playwright. She has worked as a healthcare advocate, before deciding to forgo a successful career in public health to become a writer and playwright. Leslie’s work explores human relationships and how they are impacted by race, religion and social economic status.

 

What is the unmet social or environmental need you intend to address?

The high rate of recidivism among incarcerated individuals .

 

What most excites you about participating in the Impact Entrepreneurship Fellowship?

Impact Entrepreneurship Fellowship provide participants an opportunity to develop relationships with other entrepreneurs who value helping their society over monetary gains.

 

What most excites you about Impact Entrepreneurship in general?

Impact Entrepreneurship’s mentorship component and it’s workshop help novice entrepreneurs become successful.

 

Where do you think you need the most support regarding your venture concept?

Learning strategies and concepts to secure capital and changing society’s misconception that incarcerated individuals are no longer viable contributors or beneficial to their society.
