MEET OUR MENTOR: Angelika Andrzejewska – Architect, Interior Designer & Illustrator

Architect, interior designer, freelance illustrator (founder of When in the West)

Born and raised in Poland, studying in Rome and Milan, currently living, and working in New York City, Angelika is a passionate architect, interior designer, and freelance illustrator. Her architectural practice focuses on creating better social interactions, using architecture as a tool to reduce barriers, making our living spaces more functional, attractive and most of all accessible to everyone, regardless of age or ability. She always puts the comfort of the building occupant on the first place.

In her professional approach, attention is given to provide clients with the highest design standards, simultaneously having in mind sustainable strategies and eco-friendly technical solutions to minimalize the negative impact of buildings to our environment.

Her second biggest passion – manual drawing, led her to create an ongoing personal project When in the West. This artistic mission, based on her love and long fascination for American western media, has been evolving in her mind and heart for almost 10 years. It is a body of work that combines illustrations, collages, and texts. Her goal is to share with others her European vision and interpretation of Wild West.
She loves taking the risk, moving forward and not being afraid to make major life changes. Her motto is You can’t cross a chasm in two small steps, especially when you have a great passion that drives your life and make it meaningful.
