India-China Institute

The India China Institute (ICI) serves as a hub for research and public engagement on India, China and beyond. Its mission is to address issues of global concern through collaborative research and the formation of transnational networks of scholars and practitioners based in India, China, and elsewhere around the world. ICI is committed to studying global flows and frictions and helping direct these toward more sustainable and equitable outcomes. We believe that studying and thinking with the pasts and presents of India, China, and other countries in the global South can provide new frameworks that provide alternative perspectives to dominant understandings of global politics, culture, and design.

Observatory on Latin America

Zolberg Institute on Migration and Mobility

In the world’s leading city of immigration, in a time of a troubling resurgence of anti-migrant action and rhetoric, in a University with a faculty and student body committed to social justice, the Zolberg Institute on Migration and Mobility supports critical and applied scholarship and provides opportunities for social action and policy engagement for faculty, students and the broader New School community.
