Professor Samuel Farber, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Brooklyn College, presented his newest book “Cuba Since the Revolution of 1959: A Critical Assessment” .
Talk abstract: A critical historical assessment of the Cuban Revolution’s impact and legacy informed by the comparative
sociology of Communist regimes. Special attention will be paid to current economic changes in the island
and to issues of political democracy and racial and gender politics.
