Janey Newsletter
Janey Program in Latin American Studies Newsletter
The Janey Program for Latin American studies published a bi-annual newsletter for graduate students and professors from The New School for Social Research to share their latest work, publish interviews or fiction, and engage in political debate. In 2003, the newsletter switched to an online format to provide wider access to these pieces. A permanent feature of the Janey Program’s website, it is renewed frequently as an interesting space that students and faculty from The New School and beyond will visit frequently.
The newsletter includes papers written by recipients of the Janey Program Summer Fellowships. In this way, the work-in-progress that the program has funded will circulate throughout the community for fellow scholars’ feedback. It also includes papers written by Latin Americans studying at The New School and by students that are interested in the region. Additionally, the newsletter publishes papers presented at the Spring Conference, produced by members of The New School or by scholars invited to participate in this event.
We welcome submissions. To be included in the newsletter, please contact the Janey’s Program Director: Federico Finchelstein, Associate Professor of Historical Studies at janeyprogram@newschool.edu.
