Samuel Farber-Cuba Since the Revolution of 1959: A Critical Assessment

The Janey Program in Latin American Studies is pleased to invite you to a talk with

Professor Samuel Farber, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Brooklyn College.

Prof. Faber will be presenting and discussing his newest book “Cuba Since the Revolution of 1959: A Critical Assessment” . He has written numerous books and articles about the Cuban Revolution.

Talk abstract: A critical historical assessment of the Cuban Revolution’s impact and legacy informed by the comparative
sociology of Communist regimes. Special attention will be paid to current economic changes in the island
and to issues of political democracy and racial and gender politics.

This event is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served.
