Editing Workshop for NY Filmmakers

Women Make Movies’ Workshop and Webinar Series starts back up next month with a special in-person masterclass, Secrets From Successful Editors. Moderated by Sabine Krayenbühl (Virgin Tales, Mad Hot Ballroom), the event will be a process-oriented discussion with Hemal Trivedi (Among the Believers, Saving Face), Ann Collins (Swim Team, Joan Didion: The Center Will Not Hold), and Carla Gutierrez (Las Marthas, RBG). Following the discussion, filmmakers will be invited to meet the editors and mingle.

    Women Make Movies’ upcoming workshop, Secrets From Successful Editors, presents four master editors for a process-oriented masterclass about how to find an editor, have a successful collaboration, and get to a rough cut while waiting for funding. The workshop will feature three extraordinary craftswomen in conversation: Hemal Trivedi (Among the Believers, Saving Face), Ann Collins (Swim Team, Joan Didion: The Center Will Not Hold), and Carla Gutierrez (Las Marthas, RBG). Moderating the discussion will be editor Sabine Krayenbühl (Virgin Tales, Mad Hot Ballroom). Attendees are welcome to stay after the workshop to mingle with fellow filmmakers and meet the editors!
