Final Call for Yogyakarta Film Awards

Dear Filmmakers,

This is the final call for all filmmakers from Yogyakarta, the center of education with a friendly culture and deep in historical value; a place where classical Javanese art mix with modern culture in its artwork, drama, music, and puppetry. The culture is beautified with refined arts, batik, and handicrafts.
Yogyakarta exhibits remarkable landmarks and traditional architectural buildings enriched with spiritual notes. The ancient Hindu temples of Prambanan, the magnificent Borobudur temple, and the magical Sultanate Kraton are making the city one of a must-go tourist destination places.
Yogyakarta Film Awards (YAFA) aims to take part in the film industry and to help both independent and professional filmmakers to soar their film internationally and make it famous throughout the region.
Yogyakarta Film Awards encourage newcomers, travelers, history lovers, and adventurers from any part of the world to compete for best film.
GUIDELINES SUBMISSION
We are searching for narrative and documentary films in various genres but in the great search for culture and traditional theme, historical and heroic films, films containing the architectural theme, social issues, and all inspiring film and documentaries that are well executed with excellent cinematography and carries unique and strong voice. International films with various spoken language are welcomed but must be added with English subtitles or dubbed in English.
International Film
A narrative film with any duration.
International Documentary
Documentary film with any duration.
Director
Best director in short or narrative feature, or documentaries.
Cinematography
Looking for the most beautiful cinematography in short film or narrative feature film, or documentaries.
Actor
Best man performance in short or narrative feature.
Actress
Best female performance in short or narrative feature.
Editing
Best editing for short film, narrative feature film, or documentaries.
Screenwriter
Best screenwriter in short films, narrative feature, or documentaries.
Newcomer
Newcomers are welcome. The director of the film must state whether this is his or her first, second, or third film.AWARDS CEREMONY

Yogyakarta Film Awards will conduct a prestigious Awards Night, workshops, and screenings in October 2018. International filmmakers, kings and queens of Nusantara, and government bodies will be invited.
