Alex Zhang Hungtai at The Mission
The Lot Radio is inviting you to a special concert at our neighbor’s house:
Alex Zhang Hungtai (fka Dirty Beaches) @ The San Damiano Mission on March 14th, 2019
After retiring his project Dirty Beaches, Zhang has been focusing on explorations of improvised music, Free Jazz, and his new role as a composer. His newer compositions predominantly works with saxophone, synthesizers, percussion and piano, furthering his research on ritualistic music of liminality
For this particular concert Alex will mostly use his saxophone, blurring the line between sound and source, perception and reality, weaving an atmosphere that’s as challenging as it is weightless.
