This Week with Cinema Tropical, October 7 – 14
The 57th New York Film Festival continues this week at Film at Lincoln Center for its second and last week. Be sure to check out the U.S. premiere of The Moneychanger by acclaimed Uruguayan director Federico Veiroj who will be in town to present his latest film.
And next Monday, be sure to catch the U.S. premiere of Argentine director Lautaro García Candela’s critically-acclaimed contemporary film, I Love You So Much That I Just Don’t Know. Screening as part of our ongoing series at Anthology Film Archives, the film offers audiences a glimpse into the erratic porteño neighborhoods of Buenos Aires as you follow Francisco’s Friday night journey through spontaneous love affairs and tense soccer matches.
Considered to be a direct stream of the filmmaker’s subconscious, I Love You So Much That I Just Don’t Know showcases García Candela’s political and historical position for the world to see. Catch the film on Monday, October 14.
