GIDEST Covid Workshop #1: Denise Ferreira da Silva “Unpayable Debt”

GIDEST Covid Workshop #1

Denise Ferreira da Silva
Unpayable Debt

Arjuna Neuman and Denise Ferreira da Silva, Serpent Rain (production still, 2018)

During this pandemic year, we’ve run the GIDEST seminars as closed Zoom workshops. We’ll continue to do that through the spring semester while planning for a return to in-person public programming in the fall.

In the meantime, please click below for video from our workshop with the philosopher and artist Denise Ferreira da Silva. And please look out for forthcoming videos with faculty fellows and guests including visual theorist Tina Campt, educator and activist Margo Okazawa-Rey, and interdisciplinary artist Ralph Lemon.

For the full context of Denise Ferreira da Silva’s GIDEST presentation, please read her essay Unpayable Debt and view her film (with Arjuna Neuman) Serpent Rain.

And, please – in these challenging times – consider making a donation to support the artists whose work Denise and Arjuna host at the collaborative forum EhChO.
