RA Position Opportunity with SMS Faculty Diane Mitchell

Graduate Research Assistant position available with School of Media Studies faculty Diane Mitchell to collaborate on The Temperament of Space project. This research explores how multi-sensory media can offer visitors meaningful perceptual experiences while they are in a shared public space, for example, airports, libraries, medical facilities. Currently we are prototyping a mobile, browser based interface to play projected videos, based on a set of rules.

We are looking for a motivated, self-directed, reliable, creative individual with experience in interaction design using JavaScript, Processing, or similar tools.Compensation is $22.08/hour. Hours are flexible but candidates should plan to work 8-10/hours a week for 9 – 12 weeks, beginning spring semester 2022. Please contact: if you are interested.
