Professor John Peter Didato’s Documentary Screened at DOCUMENTED ITALIANS Film and Video Series
Ciao, Sesame Street! a documentary directed by John Peter Didato, Part-time Assistant Professor will be screened as part of the “Documented Italians” film and video series at the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 6pm. Post-screening discussion with the director led by Anthony Julian Tamburri, Queens College, CUNY.
Ciao, Sesame Street! goes behind the scenes of Sesame Street to profile Italian Americans who have contributed to the success of the most beloved children’s show in television history. The film has received numerous accolades including winner of the 2019 Russo Brothers Italian American Film Forum; Audience Award at the 2021 Astoria Film Festival; and a finalist in the 2021 NYC Film & Television Festival.
