Marcos Echeverria Ortiz Presented MA Media Studies Thesis Project at the American Anthropological Association Annual Convention
Marcos Echeverria Ortis, MA Media Studies, presented thesis project “Where We Were Safe,” at the American Anthropological Association annual convention in Seattle. The project was nominated by the Society For Visual Anthropology and recognized it as the Best Interactive Project of the year.
The presentation was followed by a meaningful conversation exposing and discussing the need to create community-based archives to record and document the history of under-preserved communities.
