A Feature Documentary Produced by Alum Marija Stojnic Won Best Documentary at the Sarajevo Film Festival
BOTTLEMEN, directed by the Nemanja Vojinovic and produced by alum Marija Stojnic, has been awarded the prestigious Best Documentary – Heart of Sarajevo Award at the Sarajevo Film Festival, where it had its World Premiere.
The film explores a journey into the heart of the Vinča landfill, where over a thousand tons of waste are discarded daily. This gripping documentary unveils the lives of the Bottlemen, plastic bottle collectors led by Janika, a former boxer seeking a better life. As their stories intertwine with the landfill’s destiny, the film paints a poignant portrait of struggle, camaraderie, and resilience.
