Palah 파랗 Light Lab Introduced by Assistant Professor Margaret Rhee
Palah 파랗 Light Lab is a creative space that fosters poetry, participation, and pedagogy through technology and equity. The group investigates questions in cultural criticism, seeking to creatively and critically engage new media in experimental ways that address pressing social issues, utilizing a feminist and queer-centered approach.
The lab is led by Assistant Professor Margaret Rhee and based between The New School and the University at Buffalo, New York, and student leaders are involved as organizers, researchers, and fellows. The group promotes feminist creativity, mentorship, and collaboration through a creative space and is interested in design anchored in the humanities and scholarship informed by transdisciplinary practices and technology.
Grad Coffee Hour on November 10 is one of Palah 파랗 Light Lab’s first events on campus. It will be a casual gathering for graduate students from CUNY and The New School to discuss queer SF and the newly released novel “These Burning Stars” by novelist Bethany Jacobs.
