Professor John Reed Seeking Design Student for a Short-term Image Editing/Prep Role
John Reed, Director of the Creative Writing Program and Associate Professor of Writing Across Media at The New School, is looking for an experienced design student to assist with digital image editing and preparation, to begin as soon as possible.
A reproduction of the 1984 art book Opera of the Worms by Judy Rifka and Rene Ricard is in production to be printed later this year. The successful candidate will edit digital files and prepare the publication for print. In addition, they will redesign the cover in keeping with the nature of the original project.
As part of the application process, candidates will be asked to edit and prepare a sample page of the book. If results are satisfactory, a fixed fee will be determined in accordance with the estimated workload, at 22 dollars an hour.
