
Professor Rebecca Alvin Presents Paper at the Conference of the International Society for the Study of Surrealism
On November 11, Rebecca M. Alvin, Associate Teaching Professor in the School of Media Studies undergraduate program, gave a paper at the Conference of the International Society for the Study of Surrealism.
The title of the paper was “Buñuel, Jodorowsky, and Del Toro: The Significance of Mexico as Bridge for Contemporary Cinematic Surrealisms” and focused on Mexico’s importance in the continued development and expansion of surrealist cinema from the Spanish Civil War until today.
