Alum Paula Leon-Gambetta is Raising Money for New TV Series, “Grad City”
Paula Leon-Gambetta, a Media Studies alum, has been developing the TV script for “Grad City” since January of 2022 when she workshopped its pilot at The New School during her graduate studies.
Grad City is an episodic narrative exploring the awkward, embarrassing, confusing, and freeing lives of 23-year-olds trying to make it in New York City and follow their artistic dreams. The series was inspired by the real-life experiences of Leon-Gambetta’s group of friends.
Leon-Gambetta’s first film, “She Knows her Place”, which she produced, wrote, directed and starred in, received multiple awards, including Best First Time Filmmaker at the inaugural Focus Film Festival at NYU, where she was invited as a panellist.
