Alum Eileen Level Launched an Outdoor Screening Project Aimed at Bringing a Brooklyn Community Together
Over the past decade, crime has risen within a Brooklyn, NY, community surrounding the Breukelen Houses, a housing complex maintained by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). The development needed an activity to bring its residents together and inspire positivity.
In an effort to unify and bring positivity to the Breukelen community, in the Summer of 2022, PaleFO Cinema and its founder and director, Eileen Level, MS Media Management ’22, piloted a new initiative to provide outdoor moving screenings to citizens within the housing complex and enlisted the help of Sharp to provide state-of-the-art projectors for a top-notch cinematic experience within Breukelen.
