Sinha Memorial Fellow Johann Yamin Launches New Essay Series for Migration Mapping Project

Johann Yamin, 2023-24 Sinha Memorial Fellow working on the Media+Migration Lab under the supervision of Emeritus Professor Sumita S. Chakravarty, has launched a series of 17 new short essays co-written by Prof Chakravarty and Yamin for the M2Lab’s foundational project, Migration Mapping. This has been a living archive on media and migration since 2016.

The short essays, hosted on Migration Mapping’s “concepts” page, cover key themes emerging from the study of media and migration, such as “Data” and “Diaspora.”
