Professor Tal S. Shamir’s Films Shine at the 2024 Fantasia Film Festival
Tal S. Shamir showcased two films at the prestigious 2024 Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal: “Desert of the Real” and “A New York Covid Story.”
“Desert of the Real,” which began as a graduate class project in Professor Rafael Parra’s 2010 course, has journeyed worldwide, featuring in numerous festivals and earning several awards. “A New York Covid Story” is part of Dean Vlad Nikolic’s upcoming collaborative feature film, “Everything that Will Happen Has Already Happened.”
