Peter Asaro Wins Golden Dove of Peace Award for ‘Stop Killer Robots’ Campaign
Associate Professor of Media Studies Peter Asaro‘s exemplary campaign Stop Killer Robots wins the esteemed Golden Dove of Peace Award.
He will be accepting the prestigious award in Rome next week and also attend a conference organized by the award sponsors, bringing together global leaders in the pursuit of peace.
The Stop Killer Robots campaign has advocated for meaningful human control over the use of force and calls for new international laws to regulate autonomous weapons systems.
Established in 1986, the Golden Dove of Peace Award honors individuals and organizations dedicated to humanitarian causes, with previous recipients including Nelson Mandela, Mikhail Gorbachev, Jane Goodall, and many more.
