Breaking Barriers: Undoing Latino Stereotypes in the Media

Neyda Martinez, Director of the Media Management Graduate Program and Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Media Management, has been confirmed to moderate the New Jersey Performing Arts Center event joined by Raul Rubio, Associate Professor of Hispanic Studies, and Wilson Valentín-Escobar from the Schools of Public Engagement.

“Undoing Latino Stereotypes in the Media,” hosted by the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is an insightful virtual panel discussion that will explore how Latino communities have been represented in arts, journalism, and entertainment, and how we can continue to push for more authentic and diverse portrayals.

The event will be held virtually on October 21st at 7pm EST.
