Sinha Memorial Endowed Fellowship in Media Studies 2025–2026 Applications Open
The Sinha Memorial Endowed Fellowship in Media Studies is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 academic year. This year-long, funded research assistantship offers M.A. students at The New School the opportunity to work with the Media+Migration Lab (M2Lab), supporting innovative projects like the Migration Mapping digital archive.
Fellows will explore themes at the intersection of media and migration through multimedia storytelling, writing, outreach, digital archive management, and campus event planning. Preferred skills include WordPress, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and media design (video editing, XR, or animation), but students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
To apply, please upload the following via the Google form: (a) your resume and a brief cover letter, (b) a copy of your DegreeWorks page, (c) a 500-word statement outlining your research interests and a specific question related to migration and media you’d like to explore, (d) the name of a full-time faculty member who can provide a recommendation letter, and (e) an optional creative portfolio or website with relevant projects.
