sterling ruby: ceramics
Experience Sterling Ruby: Ceramics before it closes on Sunday, March 17 with Jeff Fleming, the curator of the exhibition. On Saturday, March 9 from 2 to 3 pm, Fleming will discuss Ruby’s interdisciplinary approach to ceramics and clay (the artist’s “monumental material”) and welcome questions from visitors. This event is free for members.

See and purchase one-of-a-kind contemporary jewelry at LOOT: MAD About Jewelry from April 8 to April 13! This year’s event will feature unique designs from more than 50 emerging and acclaimed international jewelry artists and designers. LOOT kicks-off with an Opening Benefit on April 8, which includes cocktails, dinner, and a first look at the works on sale, followed by public exhibition and sale days.

Watch some of the most iconic sci-fi films in MAD’s Theater starting March 21 as part of the series, Plastic Futures and Premillennial Tensions: 1990s Science Fiction Cinema before a New Millennium which coincides with the opening of the exhibition Non-Stick Nostalgia:Y2K Retrofuturism in Contemporary Jewelry. This month, we’re screening the contemporary classics, Johnny Mnemonic, Ghost in the Shell, Hackers, and Tetsuo II: Body Hammer.
