Call for Papers: On Embodiment
Deadline: Monday, February 3, 2020
Process: Journal of Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Scholarship is pleased to invite submissions for issue 4.2, On Embodiment. This issue seeks to explore understandings of the body across the humanities and sciences. How do concepts of the body resonate through culture, how have they changed over time, and what form might they take in the future?
We will consider submissions that engage with embodiment in any field, and we welcome authors to consider the following:
- The mind-body relationship
- Sensory experience
- Gender and sexuality
- Embodiment in the media and politics
- Embodied arts and athletics
- Disability
- Illness and care
- Embodied resistance and protest
- The body and technology
This issue of Process will focus on embodiment, but we welcome submissions on any topic. Be aware that general submissions, if accepted, will be saved for a suitable future issue at the discretion of the editorial board.
Questions may be directed to the editorial board at processj@uw.edu.
