Drew Barrymore is bringing a new voice to daytime TV and digital. Drew’s new multi-platform show will be fun, informative and inspiring. We’re looking for a social media producer who is a socially-driven individual that will drive a social media strategy and create custom content that builds our community and engage audiences across social platforms.
Role Details
The social media producer will bring The Drew Barrymore Show to life for our social audiences. You will be responsible for building and growing our platforms, optimizing content by platform, creating content, engaging with our audiences and communicating community feedback with producers.
Your Day-to-Day
-
- Manage the daily social calendar for social platforms, from content selection to post creation that will amplify our reach
- Execute, and assist in the creation of a constantly evolving social strategy, including:
- Implementing an authentic, fun and compelling brand voice true to Drew and the show
- Building a channel-specific content schedule
- Developing fun, share-worthy social creative
- Cultivating, managing and engaging an online audience; building direct relationships with fans, influencers, and celebrities online
- Track and report on brand’s social performance, including:
- Provide ongoing insights and strategic recommendations to continually build community and increase engagement
- Listening to, escalating and acting on fan feedback
- May include occasional or scheduled shifts that require night and weekend work around big events
- Additional other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Key Projects

- Work with the Director of Digital Content and the showrunner to build a strategic plan to grow audiences on each platform
- Build and execute a strategic plan for 1:1 fan engagement on social platforms
- Build a process to communicate social feedback to producers and translate analytics in actionable production feedback
- Strategize and produce relevant social collaborations with the goal to amplify our message and grow our audience
What You Bring To The Team
QUALIFICATIONS:
You have –
-
- 3+ years experience working in social media in lifestyle, comedy or news, ideally with a specialty in social video
- Experience using social media platforms and listening tools
- A positive outlook on life and a desire to spread positivity in service or our audience
- A fanatic of pop culture, news, lifestyle and positivity
- Willingness to work early morning hours, late nights, and on weekends, if necessary
- A love for calculated improvisation and pivoting as opportunities develop
- Prior experience with Photoshop or basic graphic design skills including gifs and memes

- A keen awareness of a digital media landscape that is constantly evolving and adapting as technology changes and audiences shift their attention
- An undeniable appetite and enthusiasm for working in an environment that can be different every day—and an unmistakable sense of urgency and ambition
- Experience working closely with celebrities and influencers and strong relationships with both talent and other media professionals for collaborations
- Bachelors in media, entertainment, journalism or other related fields
