SMS Faculty and Associate Dean Dawnja Burris’ Textual + Photographic Contribution Interrogating the Essence of the Coyote Through its Media Image Will Be Included in ‘becoming-Feral’
SMS Faculty and Associate Dean DAWNJA BURRIS’ textual and photographic contribution interrogating the essence of the coyote through its media image will be included in the forthcoming publication becoming-Feral, a creative research publication which aims to investigate the complex relationships between human/other-animals and the shifting categories of wild/feral/domestic, set within landscapes constantly being altered by global transformations of climate and capitalism.
The second publication in the BECOMING Series, the project is led by Objet-a Creative Studio in association with The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and the University of California, Santa Cruz. The resulting work will include a digital and print bestiary including mediations on a range of single species within the Animal Kingdom, as would be found in a Bestiary.
