Alum Andrés Bayona Joins Exile as Head of Digital Creative Production
Exile Content Studio, one of Hollywood’s leading content providers for English and Spanish speaking audiences worldwide, has tapped Andrés Bayona, MS Media Management ’17, former Head of Digital Production and Content Marketing of Televisa, for the position of Head of Digital Creative Production.
Bayona’s focus will be to chart the operational and executional digital strategy across Exile’s series slate and manage the end-to-end production process of brand campaigns across multiple markets and media channels.
“I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to join Exile and build on the company’s exceptional track record of entertainment, success and innovation,” Bayona said.
Andrés was hired by the news department of Spanish-language broadcast television network Univision. Among some of the digital projects he led in Mexico include the critically acclaimed “Vencer” franchise (“Vencer el Miedo”/Overcome The Fear, “Vencer el Desamor”/Overcome Heartbreak and “Vencer el Pasado”/Overcome The Past), “Imperio de Mentiras” (Empire of Lies), the comedy show “Vecinos” (Neighbors), the Mexican version of “The Masked Singer”, and “Fábrica de Sueños” (The Collection), an anthology of timeless classics, including “La Usurpadora”/The Usurper, “Cuna de Lobos”/Den of Wolves, and “Rubí”, that captured the attention of millions of people in the 1980s and 1990s and were re-imagined for a new generation.
Andrés Bayona is a journalist, media, and communications consultant with experience in public relations, digital, and media production. Bayona was an anchor, producer, and reporter for the first News in English division at RCN Television in Colombia. He also worked in communications as a consultant for public traded and private global companies, including General Electric, Swiss Re, SAB Miller, and Starbucks.
Andrés is also a contributor for Forbes Magazine. He also produced a short film, which was selected for RUFF CUTS, a series of screening sessions at the New School of Media Studies in New York.
