Remembering Charles Warner, Part-time Associate Professor
The School of Media Studies has recently lost a member of the faculty. Part-time Associate Professor Charles Warner taught courses at The New School for over 20 years, such as Media Ethics, Media Sales and Sales Management and Managing Innovations In Media. His commitment to teaching and mentorship will be forever remembered as he served as a beacon of light to students, alums and faculty in the Media Management Program.
Loss in our community can be extremely difficult to process. If you would like to talk with someone, there is support available through the following New School resources:
- Student Health Services (SHS) offers virtual telecounseling to students. Please visit shsportal.newschool.edu to make an appointment.
- Students can also contact the administrative staff at Student Support and Advocacy (SSA) via studentsupport@newschool.edu. SSA offers in-person and virtual support for non-academic challenges and distressing situations.
- Faculty and staff may seek counseling support through the Employee Assistance Program.
The SMS community will hold a large Fall semester event to honor Charles’s rich legacy. More information will follow soon. We extend our deepest condolences to Charles’s family and everyone in our community.
