Fine Cuts 2025: Submit Your Film for the 46th Annual Invitational Film Awards
The School of Media Studies is proud to present the 46th Annual Fine Cuts—an evening celebrating the bold, creative, and boundary-pushing work of emerging filmmakers at The New School.
Fine Cuts 2025, a highlight of the university’s Spark Awards 2025, showcases completed student films that span genres, voices, and perspectives. From raw emotional documentaries to experimental narratives, this annual screening is a cornerstone of the School of Media Studies’ commitment to nurturing media creators who challenge the form and speak truth through film.
The official screening, followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers and a celebratory reception, will take place on May 9, 2025.
Fine Cuts 2025 invites current students and recent alumni to submit their short films for jury selection. A distinguished panel of film professionals, festival programmers, and New School faculty and alumni will review the submissions.
