Memory Studies Group at The New School

Outdoor Gathering for The Memory Studies Group at The New School

The Memory Studies Group at The New School for Social Research invites new members! If you are interested or you’re already working on social, cultural, or public memory you should join us for our first meeting – in person! – and find out about what we do.

We’re an interdisciplinary group, so all majors are welcome! We work closely with interested graduate students, faculty, and our alumni to create a dynamic working hub, both intellectually inspiring and collegially supportive, to share the initial ideas, works-in-progress, research proposals, conference papers, dissertation chapters, and book manuscripts.

If you can remember the time when we had student gatherings – in person! – with pizza and drinks, our first meeting will bring back good memories. If you’re new to The New School we hope you will join us too!

Our first meeting will be on Friday, October 15 at 6:00 PM ET in Washington Square Park. Pizza and soda will be provided.

Please RSVP here if you are joining us (we need to know how much pizza to order). Once you RSVP, we will provide details about the exact location.

Looking forward to seeing and meeting you!

** Please note that this meeting is open ONLY to New School students and faculty.
