Drawing/Imaging … all around Paris!
Students in Jason Glasser’s Drawing/Imaging class have been working on different techniques in a variety of settings around Paris. They worked on perspective on site at the Palais Royal. The subject of the day was understanding and learning to draw perspective. The Palais Royal offers many challenging views with it’s classical architecture, long corridors, geometrical gardens, and Daniel Buren’s installation, Les Deux Plateaux.
They worked on figure drawing at the Musée d’Orsay. Here students practice drawing figures by studying the sculpture collection at the museum. The morning visit offered a calm atmosphere and lots of natural light. In this picture we could imagine that the marble faun was also drawing with us!
Back on campus they draw live models to perfect their representation of the human form.
