A search for the Paris Meridian in AMT Core Studio 4 Urban class

On Monday February 11, the junior AMT Core Studio 4 Urban class were given a cryptic text from which they had to locate a sequence of medallions from the “Monument to the Memory of Arago” created by artist Jan Dibbetts in 1995/6, which traverses the city across 9.5 km. In mapping this grounded monument we retraced and placed ourselves in the invisible line that runs through the heart of the city and France – the Meridian of Paris.
First Arago medallion located, 24 Rue de Richelieu

Second medallion, located but long gone

Third medallion found, excitement builds!

A few medallions later, sadly only a gap where the medallion should be.

The true meridian through the Pyramid of the Louvre

On a roll, through the Court de Napoleon at the Louvre.
