Career Services: What’s planned for Fall 2020
Virginie Grillet, Director of Careers and Internships at Parsons Paris, has planned a variety of events this semester to get you prepped and confident for taking on professional experiences, whether it be interviewing, interning, or working full time. Consult the full program of events and career resources on your JobTeaser account.
“Into the Classroom” talk series
In this monthly talk series, Virginie will come into classrooms to share program-specific advice around themed topics to prepare you for your professional future. In September you’ll get an overview of the academic year, with key dates for career-related activities. You’ll also learn more about one-to-one sessions for professional development. In October, there will be a focus on networking and in November you’ll learn all you need to know about interviewing. Each talk is composed of an intro and a practical exercise, and lots of time for Q&A.
Zoom workshops for FY and Masters students
Special workshops are planned for First-Year undergrads as well as incoming Masters students, giving general information about Career Services, to review the FAQs that were submitted over the summer, an overview of Paris Fashion Week opportunities, a look at how to use the JobTeaser job board, as well as resume tips and guidelines.
One-to-one resume reviews
In October, Viriginie will hold 1:1 sessions specifically focused on crafting the perfect resume. These sessions are especially targeted towards Seniors and Year 2 Masters students, but are of course open to all other students who request one!
Recruiter sessions
During the 1st week of November, recruiters will share tips and recommendations on job applications. Stay tuned for more on who will be there and how to participate.
As always, if you have any specific needs or questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
