Le CentQuatre proposals of Fall 2021!
In the Design Communication course taught by Monica Fraile Morrison, students are tasked with imagining a new visual brand identity for Le CentQuatre in Paris. Le CentQuatre or 104 is a public art space situated in Paris’ 19th arrondissement which also hosts artists’ residencies and productions. It is a bustling environment that provides a space for children’s activities to a start-up incubator. The students have to represent this dynamic and creative energy through designing the logo, typographic choices. After these have been solidified, they need to design the event poster, program and exhibition leaflet layouts, and finally, the website interface to finish up their proposal. The images show the works of students: Larissa Mizuno Morimoto, Mengyuan Xu, Agnieszka Opadczuk, Katharine Nie, and Eslie Ahou Ramia Nguessan. Even though all the students are given the same brief, each one has come up with their own interpretation of the space, showcasing their personal design styles and strategies.Â
