Musée des Arts Décoratifs Library Visit
BFA Fashion Design Sophomores have visited the library of Paris’s Musée des Arts Décoratifs to deepen their research of historical shirts from different eras and origins. Students are developing this visual research with the aim of giving both historical context to the study of the shirt while also pushing students to hybridize the historical piece with contemporary visual culture, especially exploring questions of gender and multiculturalism.
