First Year Exhibition: Learning Curation by Setting up an Exhibition
This Spring, First Year students got two opportunities to showcase their work to the Parsons Paris community and external guests at Galerie D, located at the Fiminco Foundation in Paris/Romainville.
For Integrative Studio and Seminar 2, their core classes dedicated to art and design methods, students were invited to visit the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (MAD for short) and pick an object from their location. Using it as a basis providing inspiration in terms of materials, use, socio-historical context and mode of display, they were tasking with reinventing the object by adding a new dimension to it.
